Cam Davis of Sydney, Australia, won the Rocket Mortgage Classic at Detroit Golf Club in Detroit, Michigan. Davis shot a 5-under-par 67 on Sunday and a tournament total of 18-under-par 270 to capture his first career PGA TOUR victory. He defeated Troy Merritt of Osage, Iowa, and AJGA alumni Joaquin Niemann of Santiago, Chile, in a five hole playoff on Sunday to become the fourth Australian to win on the PGA TOUR this season.

Niemann was the highest finishing AJGA alumni in the field at T2 after losing in a three-person playoff. Niemann had three AJGA tournament victories from 2016 to 2017. He was the back-to-back champion at the Sergio Garcia Foundation Junior Championship in 2016 and 2017 and also won the 2017 TaylorMade-adidas Golf Junior at Innisbrook. In 2016, Niemann was named a first team Rolex Junior All-American.

Jin Young Ko of Seoul, South Korea, won the Volunteers of America Classic at Old American Golf Club in The Colony, Texas. Ko shot a tournament total of 16-under-par 268, including an opening round of 8-under-par 63, to win by one stroke. This was Ko's first victory on the LPGA Tour this season.

The highest placing AJGA alumna was Gaby Lopez of Mexico City, Mexico, who finished third. Lopez shot a tournament total of 14-under-par 270 to finish two strokes behind Ko. The University of Arkansas golf alum had two AJGA tournament victories at the 2009 and 2010 Mayakoba Junior Golf Classic. She was also named a Rolex Junior All-American in 2010.
