Dustin Johnson collected his 21st PGA TOUR win at the Travelers Championship, finishing at 19-under-par 261 in Connecticut. He was tied for 79th after the first round before shooting 64-61-67 to claim the title. With the victory, he tied Tiger Woods for the most TOUR wins since 2008. Johnson had one AJGA top-10 finish prior to playing golf at Coastal Carolina University.

AJGA and Baylor men's golf alumnus Kyle Jones went from alternate one week to Korn Ferry Tour Champion the next as he won the Utah Championship presented by Zions Bank. At 20-under-par 264, three golfers entered a sudden-death playoff and Jones emerged victorious after two holes. As a junior golfer, he finished fifth at the 2010 PING Phoenix Junior.
