AJGA alumnus Justin Thomas dominated TPC Sawgrass over the weekend en route to becoming the first Junior PLAYERS Championship alumni to win the professional tournament. Thomas shot rounds of 71-71-64-68 to finish the tournament at 14-under-par 274 and one shot ahead of Lee Westwood. Thomas matched the largest 36-hole comeback victory (seven shots) in THE PLAYERS Championship history.
In his junior golf career, Thomas was a two-time Rolex Junior All-American and three-time AJGA champion. He ended his AJGA career with 12 top-10 finishes. A two-time Junior PLAYERS Championship participant, Thomas finished T38 in 2008 and T26 in 2009.
