Sungjae Im won the Honda Classic last weekend to earn his first PGA TOUR victory. The 21-year-old Im carded an impressive final round of 4-under-par 66 to hold off Tommy Fleetwood and AJGA alumnus Mackenzie Hughes. Im would finish the tournament at 6-under-par 274 to win by one and become the youngest winner in Honda Classic history. With his second place finish, Hughes was the highest finishing AJGA alumni with a tournament total of 5-under-par 275.
AJGA alumnus David Kocher won the El Bosque Mexico Championship by INNOVA birdieing the first playoff hole to defeat Paul Barjon and Chad Ramey. Kocher started the final round five shots back of the lead but five birdies in his final round got him to 12-under-par 276 and into a playoff. With his win, Kocher moved to third in the Korn Ferry Tour's The 25 rankings.
Kocher played in AJGA events from 2010 until 2013 with his best finish coming at the 2013 Brian Harman Junior Championship where he finished T6.
