AJGA alumni Phil Mickelson captured his sixth major and 45th PGA TOUR victory over the weekend at the 102nd PGA Championship in Kiawah Island, South Carolina. With this victory, Mickelson became the oldest player to win a major on the PGA TOUR, edging out Julius Boros, who was 48 at the 1968 PGA Championship. Mickelson is the eighth player over 50 to win on the PGA TOUR and first since Davis Love III in 2015 to do so.
Mickelson, who played college golf at Arizona State University, holds the record for most AJGA career individual wins with 12. Three of Mickelson's twelve wins came at the season ending Rolex Tournament of Champions, where he won in 1986, 1987, and 1988.

Wei-Ling Hsu captured her first LPGA victory over the weekend at the Pure Silk Championship in Williamsburg, Virginia. Hsu shot a final round 3-under-par on Sunday to seal her victory by two strokes over Moriya Jutanugarn bringing her tournament total score to 13-under-par 271. This victory earned Hsu a spot in the U.S. Women's Open at Olympic Club in San Francisco on June 3-6.
AJGA alumna Moriya Jutanugarn finished in solo second behind Hsu. Hsu and Jutanugarn were tied for the lead entering Sunday, but a few mistakes by Jutanugarn allowed Hsu to edge out her for the win. Jutanugarn won the AGJA's Winn Grips Heather Farr Classic hosted by Longbow Golf Club and was a first-team Rolex Junior All-American, both in 2011.
