Professional Recap

AJGA alum Jeff Maggert holed out on the third hole in a sudden-death playoff to take home the PGA TOUR Champions Charles Schwab Cup Championship title. Although Maggert won the tournament, it was fellow AJGA alum Scott McCarron who finished at the top of the PGA TOUR Champions season-long standings to win the Charles Schwab cup. Maggert and McCarron both played in AJGA events from 1980 until 1983.

Ai Suzuki won the LPGA's Toto Japan Classic after carding a tournament total of 17-under-par 199. Suzuki's final round of 5-under-par 67 was more than enough to get the win as she would hold off Hyo Joo Kim to earn the victory by three strokes.

AJGA alumna Minjee Lee was the top-finishing AJGA alumae in the tournament. She finished in third place with a tournament total of 11-under-par 205.
