Despite having his driver shaft destroyed on the range ahead of round one, AJGA alumnus Viktor Hovland defended his title at the World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba over the weekend. Hovland cruised to a four-shot victory at 23-under-par 261 thanks to rounds of 67-65-62-67. This is his third PGA TOUR victory and fourth international win.
Hovland competed in two AJGA Invitationals during his junior golf career, finishing T7 at the 2015 Thunderbird International Junior and T9 at the 2015 Junior PLAYERS Championship.
