AJGA alumnus and tournament host Stewart Cink earned his first PGA TOUR win since 2009 after winning the Safeway Open. With his son Reagan as his caddie, Cink finished the tournament with a 7-under-par 65 to hold off Harry Higgs and win by two strokes. Cink's last victory was the 2009 Open Championship. He played in eight AJGA events from 1988 to 1990.
Another AJGA alumnus had an impressive weekend at the Safeway Open. Six-time AJGA champion and 2018 Rolex Junior Player of the Year Akshay Bhatia made his first cut on the PGA TOUR. He finished the tournament at T9 with a 16-under-par 272.
A T9 finish for 18-year-old Akshay Bhatia at the @SafewayOpen.

Mirim Lee earned the ANA Inspiration title after defeating AJGA alumnae Nelly Korda and Brooke Henderson in a playoff. Lee chipped in on No. 18 for eagle to tie the lead and then birdied the first playoff hole to secure her first major championship. Spectacularly, the chip-in on No. 18 was Lee's third during the final round after she chipped in earlier in the day on Nos. 6 and 16.
Rose Zhang continued her impressive 2020 season by carding an 8-under-par 280 to finish T11 and earn low amateur honors. She adds this accomplishment to her wins at the U.S. Women's Amateur and Rolex Girls Junior Championship this year.

Curtis Thompson won the Evans Scholars Invitational with a birdie on the 72nd hole to capture his first Korn Ferry Tour victory. The AJGA alumnus finished the tournament at 17-under-par 271 to beat Will Zalatoris and Jimmy Stanger by one stroke. After taking a break from golf in 2018, Thompson regained his Korn Ferry Tour card last fall and is now 12th in the KFT points standings with his win. During his AJGA career, Thompson won the 2009 Laredo Energy Junior at Traditions and was a 2009 honorable mention Rolex Junior All-American.
