After two rounds, Jake Griffin of Kensington, Maryland, and Luke Sample of New York, are tied at 8-under-par 136. Griffin combined two rounds of 4-under-par 68 to climb into the top position. Griffin has verbally committed to Penn State University and is seeking his first AJGA victory. Sample shot 6-under-par 66 in the first round and 2-under-par 70 in the second to remain atop the leaderboard. Sample has made a verbal commitment to play at Duke University and is looking for his second AJGA career win.

Zachary Ong of Scarsdale, New York sits in third place at 6-under-par 138. Ong has carded 10 birdies so far this tournament. Tied for fourth are Cayden Pope of Lexington, Kentucky, and Todd Duncan of Daniels, West Virginia. The pair shot 5-under-par 139 to put themselves in contention.

In the Girls Division, Alexsandra Lapple of Pinehurst, North Carolina, and Angelina Tolentino of Mount Laurel, New Jersey, are tied at 7-under-par 137. Lapple shot 8-under-par 64 in the first round and 1-over-par 73 in the second round to put herself in contention. Lapple is seeking her second AJGA victory. Tolentino shot 2-under-par 70 in the first round and finished the second round with a 5-under-par 67.

Tied for third at 5-under-par 139 are Sydney Kuo of Edison, New Jersey, Eunice Kim of Edgewater, New Jersey, Emma Shen of Tenafly, New Jersey, Katherine Lu of Plainsboro, New Jersey, and Katie Dzialga of Greenwich, Connecticut.
