Scotty Kennon of Bradenton, Florida, delivered a 8-under-par 64 to take a one-stroke lead in the Boys Division. The Wake Forest commit birdied four straight holes on the front nine to help his five-under score at the turn. Kennon is looking to win his first AJGA title since 2017.
Dylan McDermott Granite Bay, California, had the highlight of the day with eagles on back-to-back holes to help his 7-under-par 65 score. A birdie on the last hole made McDerrmott one back of the lead.
Anna Ritter of New Albany, Ohio, maintained her spot at the top of the leaderboard throughout the day. Ritter delivered a 2-under-par 70 to tie for the lead. Joining Ritter at the top is Morgan Jones of Auburn, Alabama. Thirteen girls sit within three strokes of the lead.
