Norman, OK - Sara Im of Duluth, Georgia, broke the AJGA Junior All-Star Invitational tournament Low Round scoring record after shooting a 9-under-par 63. The record was previously held by Sarah Brown of Phillipsburg, New Jersey, who shot 8-under-64 in the second round of the tournament in 2006.

Im, currently ranked No. 44 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, had nine birdies for the day which helped her card her lowest round in her national junior golf career. She has four wins in her AJGA career with her latest win at the 2020 AJGA Junior Open presented by Visit Sevierville/Tennessee Tourism. Im was named to the 2020 AJGA Junior All-Star Team after finishing the AJGA's Junior All-Star series as one of the top-20 ranked 12-15-year olds in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. She is seeking her first invitational win.

Close behind Im is Abbey Schutte of Goodyear, Arizona, at 8-under-par 64. The Class of 2023 graduate had a bogey-free round and is currently ranked No. 85 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. Schutte has three top-10 finishes in 2020 and is seeking her first win.

Shooting 9-under-par today was amazing. It felt great out there today and I'm very excited for the next two days.

Luke Coyle of Campbellsville, Kentucky, leads the Boys division after shooting 6-under-par 66. The Class of 2023 graduate carded seven birdies which helped him finish with a 4-under-par 32 on the back-nine. Coyle is currently ranked No. 120 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and has one win at the 2019 Evitt Foundation RTC Junior All-Star. He is coming off of a second-place finish at the 2020 Visit Sanford Junior Open in August. He is seeking his first invitational win.

PJ Maybank of Cheboygan, Michigan, sits one-shot back of Coyle at 5-under-par 67. Maybank is currently T152 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and has three top-10 finishes in 2020. He is seeking his first win.

My driver was good the whole day and on the back nine my putter got hot and putts started dropping. I'm going to keep my mentality the same going into tomorrow!
