Lana Calibuso-Kwee of Wailuku, Hawaii shot an even-par 72 in her opening round. Her round consisted of 16 pars, one birdie, and one bogey. Calibuso-Kwee is looking to earn her first AJGA title since her win at the AJGA Junior All-Star at Hunter Ranch in 2018.
Sky Sudberry sits in solo second place after shooting a 1-over-par 73. Sudberry finished Top-5 in her first AJGA event of the year at the Randy Wise Junior Open.
Tied for third at 2-over-par 74 is Jacqueline Nguyen of Houston, Texas, Maye Huang of Katy, Texas, and Alexa Saldana of Mexico. The three combined for nine birdies.
