Matthew Troutman of Louisville, Kentucky, co-leads the Boy's Division. Troutman shot a first round of 3-under-par 68. The Louisville native captured his first AJGA victory at the AJGA Junior All-Star at Quail Creek in early July and is looking for his second victory this week at Knollwood Country Club.
Patrick Adler of Winnetka, Illinois, sits in third place after shooting a 2-under-par 69. Mason Webb of Jamestown, Ohio, shot 1-under-par 70. Holden Webb of Shreveport, Louisana, Reggie Zhu of (China) Winter Garden, Florida, and Jason Bannister of Bloomfield, Indiana are all tied for fifth after shooting rounds of even-par 71.
Sophie Stevens of Highland, Michigan, leads the Girl's Division after shooting a round of 2-under-par 70. Stevens tallied four birdies on the day. The 2023 graduate is playing in only her third AJGA event with finishes of T2 and T3 in her first 2 events.
Ella Greenberg of Rockford, Illinois, and Faith Johnson of Evansville, Indiana, are tied for second at 1-under-par 71.
