AJGA heads to St. George, Utah for the first time

Bloomington Country Club set to host their first AJGA event

The AJGA Junior Open presented by Greater Zion Convention and Tourism will take place October 16 - 18 at Bloomington Country Club. The 36-hole stroke-play tournament consists of 78 boys and girls from the ages of 12-19. The event will begin with a qualifier tournament on Thursday, October 15.

Players to Watch

Johnny Walker of Chandler, Arizona (2021)
Walker has had a solid 2020 season. The University of Arizona commit has finished top-10 in three out of his four AJGA tournaments this year. His best finish was T5 at the PING Heather Farr Classic in September. Walker won the State Championship at Hamilton High School his junior year and is currently ranked No. 98 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings.

Kevin Jiang of San Diego, California (2021)
Jiang already has one win this season at the AJGA Junior at Sunriver. His win came in a playoff versus Daniel Kim after being tied at 7-under-par 206 through 54-holes. The Californian will play in his 26th AJGA event this week and is ranked No. 128 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings.

Abbey Schutte of Goodyear, Arizona (2023)
Schutte finished T4 last week at the AJGA Junior All-Star invitational. The 15-year-old is ranked No. 65 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and will be making her ninth AJGA start of the 2020 season. She has three top-5 finishes this season and is seeking her first AJGA title.

Kendall Todd of Goodyear, Arizona (2021)
Todd is coming off of a win at the Se Ri Pak Desert Junior at Mission Hills Country Club. She is currently ranked No. 44 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. The Arizona Junior Golf Champion is committed to play collegiate golf at The University of Nevada Las Vegas.
