Karson Adkins of Savannah, Tennessee, leads the Girls Division by four strokes after shooting a 2-under-par 70. Adkins played all 18 holes bogey-free and added on two birdies as well. Dating back to 2011, Adkins has finished first in 10 non-AJGA events.
Celia Schrecker of Tucson, Arizona, is at 2-over-par 74. Haley Davis of Ocala, Florida, and Maryanne Grace of Rye, New York, are tied at 3-over-par 75.
John Keba of Emmaus, Pennsylvania, is the solo leader of the Boys Division after shooting 3-under-par 69 in the first round. Keba carded five birdies today in which four of them came on the first nine holes. Keba leads the division by just one stroke.
Benjamin Burns of Signal Mtn, Tennessee, is in second place after shooting a 2-under-par 70. Shane Lawler of Malvern, Pennsylvania; Matthew Young of Atlanta, Georgia; Rob Ferris of Roswell, Georgia; and Cain Stover of Ringgold, Georgia, are all tied for third at 1-under-par 71.
