After the first round, Alex Crafton of Lake Mary, Florida, leads the Girls Division after an even-par 71. Crafton put together her best AJGA career tournament round of 68 at the 2020 Arnold Palmer Invitational Junior honoring Jim Bell. She is looking for her first AJGA win in three seasons of competition.
Manuela Hererra of Wellington, Florida, was one stroke back of the lead at 1-over-par 72 including a bogey-free back nine. Kelly Shanahan of Coral Springs, Florida, rounded out the top three at 2-over-par 73. She won medalist honors at the 2018 AJGA Preview at Osprey.
Tied for fourth at 3-over-par 74 are Emily McLatchey of Winter Park, Florida, Marissa Cardenas of St. Augustine, Florida, and Tia Walker of Clearwater, Florida.
Due to inclement weather, the Girls Division played a stipulated nine-hole round after the first round.
