AJGA hosts senior girls at Saddlebrook Resort

High school senior non-commits look to make a strong outing

The Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course at Saddlebrook will host 60 girls across the country for the AJGA Senior Showcase. This is the first time the Senior Showcase will be held at Saddlebrook and only the third time an AJGA tournament has been held at Saddlebrook. The participants are high school seniors who have not yet committed and will be competing over 36 holes of stroke play.

Players to watch

Annie Huaxin Zhang of Winter Garden, Florida
Zhang is coming off her first win at the 2020 Visit Sanford Junior Open. The class of 2021 graduate will be looking to make a strong outing as the highest-ranked girl at No. 104 on the Rolex AJGA Rankings. She has two top-5 finishes in AJGA events.

Wa Yeung Cathy Tong of Costa Mesa, California
Tong is looking to nab her first AJGA win at Saddlebrook. After coming to the U.S. from China, she has competed in five AJGA events and is New Port Harbor's former high school athlete of the week.

Alex Crafton of Lake Mary, Florida
Crafton has competed in four AJGA events. She has two top-10 finishes at the D.A. Points Junior Championship in both 2018 and 2019. The 17-year-old will be competing in her third event this year.
