AJGA returns to Abilene Country Club for the 40th consecutive year

On July 6-8, the Bob Estes Junior Championship will head to the North Course at Abilene Country Club in Abilene, Texas. The tournament will consist of 36-holes of stroke play with a 78-player field. The event will begin with a qualifier round on Monday, July 6.

About the Field

  • Seven AJGA champions, four girls and three boys
  • Nine AJGA championships earned all-time
  • 15 players have signed letters of intent or verbally committed to play college golf
  • Two countries and seven states represented, including 51 players from Texas

Players to watch
Dallas Hankamer of Temple, Texas (2021)
Hankamer is currently No. 119 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. He is verbally committed to play golf at Texas A&M University. Hankamer's highest career finish came at the 2019 UnderArmour / Jordan Spieth Championship where he tied for third place.

Logan Zurn of Grapevine, Texas (2022)
Zurn won the 2019 AJGA Junior All-Star at Squaw Creek. He is currently T135 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings.

Mackenzie Lee of North Little Rock, Arkansas (2022)
Lee has had five career top-5 finishes in AJGA events, including three top-5 finishes in 2019. At No. 23 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, she is the highest-ranked junior in the field.

Borina Sutikto of Fremont, California (2021)
Sutikto has won two AJGA events including the 2019 Gateway Mortgage Group Tulsa Junior and the 2018 AJGA Preview at Meadowbrook. She is currently No. 92 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings.
