The Farms Golf Club Plays Host to Callaway Golf Junior Championship

The tournament is set to kick off its second year at this immaculate, Pete Dye-designed, course.

2020 marks the second consecutive year this 18-hole course at The Farms Golf Club will play host to the Callaway Golf Junior Championship. The 78-player field features boys and girls from the ages of 12-19. This is a 36-hole stroke play tournament that takes place over two days.

Players to watch

Ashley Yun of West Covina, California (2023)
Yun won the Callaway Golf Junior Championship in 2019 and appears poised to repeat a stellar performance at this course. She currently sits at No. 30 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, making her the highest-ranked junior in the Girls Division.

Kaleiya Romero of San Jose, California (2020)
The Pepperdine University commit made strides in her first tournament of 2020 finishing in the top-10 at the Under Armour® / Alison Lee Championship presented by Irvine Technology Corporation. Romero will be competing against her younger sister, Kiara Romero, this week, which is bound to bring out some friendly, family competition from the two of them.

Jonas Appel of Encinitas, California (2022)
Appel secured his first AJGA championship at the Under Armour/ Jordan Spieth Championship this year. The 2022 graduate is currently ranked No. 33 in the Boys Division of the Rolex AJGA Rankings. He might be thinking of getting another trophy here to add to his growing collection.

Jackson Rivera of San Diego, California (2021)
Rivera is a University of Southern California commit playing in what's essentially his backyard. He's currently No. 68 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings for the Boys Division. The Callaway Golf Junior Championship will mark Rivera's first tournament of 2020.
