McCarthy, Anderson Lead Boys Division after Second Round

At the conclusion of the second day of play, Britta Snyder leads the Girls Division and Cade Anderson and Brody McCarthy have taken control of the Boys Division.

Brody McCarty of Homer Glen, Illinois, shot a 5-under-par 67 to bring his total to 6-under-par for the tournament. He now shares a portion of the Boys Division lead at the D.A. Points Junior Open. Playing in his first AJGA event, McCarthy made a strong statement in the second round by shooting the lowest round of the day in the competitive Boys Division.

Cade Anderson of Scottsdale, Arizona, shot a round of even-par 72 in the second round of the D.A. Points Junior Open. Anderson who lead the tournament after the first day of play still retains a share of the lead at 6-under-par after another strong outing today at Pekin Country Club.

Three other players round out the top five for the Boys Division. Tied for second place all with total scores of 5-under-par are John Wild of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, Nikko Ganas of Schaumburg, Illinois, and Max Herendeen of Bellevue, Washington.

Britta Snyder of Ames, Iowa, shot a 2-under-par 70 in second round of the D.A. Points Junior Open. With a total score of 4-under-par Snyder now has a three shot lead on the girls field and is headed into the final day of tournament looking to add a win in Pekin to her already impressive AJGA resume.

Following closely behind are Nathaly Munnicha of Columbus, Indiana, whose two-day total is now 1-under-par and Anna Ritter of New Albany, Ohio, whose second round of even-par brings her two-day total to 1-over-par.
