Nathaly Munnicha of Columbus, Indiana, shot a 2-under-par 70 in the Girls Division of the first round of the D.A. Points Junior Open. The Xavier University commit is coming off a strong performance at last weeks Circle K Junior Championship hosted by Otter Creek. Munnicha, who finished tied for sixth place in this event in 2019 is looking for her first career AJGA victory this week in Pekin.
Britta Snyder of Ames, Iowa, also shot a 2-under-par-70 in the Girls Division of the first round of the D.A. Points Junior. Open. The future Baylor Bear is playing her first AJGA event of the year after a strong 2019 season. Snyder, who has three career AJGA wins to her name, is looking for her fourth career victory this week in Pekin.
Cade Anderson of Scottsdale, Arizona, shot a 6-under-par 66 in the first round of the D.A. Points Junior Open. With the help of five birdies and an eagle the Rutgers University commit took a two-shot lead on the field on the first day of tournament play. With a fourth-place finish in this event last year, Anderson looks to top his strong performance in 2019 by staying atop the leaderboard.
