Insperity Invitational / Patrick Reed AJGA Junior Championship returns to Woodlands Country Club for the ninth year

On June 22-25, the Woodlands Country Club - Tournament Course located in Houston, Texas, is set to host the Insperity Invitational/Patrick Reed AJGA Junior Championship. This will be the ninth year they have hosted this event. The tournament will consist of 54 holes of stroke play and a 78-player field.

About the Field

  • Five current Rolex Junior All-Americans and seven all-time Rolex Junior All-Americans
  • 21 AJGA Champions, 12 boys and nine girls
  • 31 championships earned all-time
  • Five players ranked in the top 30 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings
  • 15 players have signed letters of intent
  • Three countries and 10 different states represented, including 43 players from Texas

Players to watch
Vishnu Sadagopan of Pearland, Texas (2020)
The Texas A&M commit enters the event as the top-ranked player in the Boys Division. Sadapogan is No. 20 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and he is a 2019 first team Rolex Junior All-American.

Andrew Goodman of Norman, Oklahoma (2021)
Goodman enters the tournament No. 27 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. He has competed in 18 AJGA events and has finished in the top 10 at 7 of those events. Goodman also has a verbal commitment with the University of Oklahoma.

J. Holland Humphries of Austin, Texas (2021)
After finishing in the top 10 in the AJGA Invitational at Sedgefield, Humphries enters into the tournament at No. 29 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. He has two tournament wins and has been a second team Rolex Junior All-American for two consecutive years since 2018.

Yunxuan Zhang (China) of Plano, Texas (2022)
The rising junior enters the tournament as the top-ranked player in the Girls Divison. She currently is No. 20 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. Zhang also has two AJGA Junior All-Star Series wins.

Elina Sinz of Katy, Texas (2020)
Sinz is nearing the end of her career with the AJGA as she is a 2020 graduate looking to begin her college golf career with Auburn University. She enters this event at No. 26 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. She also won two events in her 2019 AJGA season.
