After completing the first round of the 2020 Insperity Invitational/Patrick Reed AJGA Junior Championship, Gaven Lane of Argyle, Texas leads the Boys Division. Lane's 8-under-par 64 at the Woodlands Country Club event is the lowest 18-hole score in the AJGA's 28-year history at the Club's Tournament Course.
The top five boys are all 3-under-par or lower. Hanseung Chang of (South Korea) Cedar Park, Texas, is three strokes back of lane at 5-under-par 67 and Nathan Petronzio of Bee Cave, Texas, is in third at 4-under-par 68. Rounding out the top five at 3-under-par 69 is Zach Heffernan of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas, and Zach Kingsland Austin, Texas,.
Leigh Chien of Irvine, California, had the low score of 3-under-par 69 in the Girls Division. Chien got off to a fast start on the front nine, recording four birdies in the first seven holes.
In the Girls Division, Meagan Winans of Richardson, Texas and Yunxuan (Michelle) Zhang from Plano, Texas, round out the top three. Winans is 1-under-par while Zhang is at even par.
