The first round of the Rolex Girls Junior Championship begins Tuesday, August 18, off the No. 1 tee. Out of the 72-player field, 41 players have at least one AJGA title. There are 15 players already with one win this season.

Pairings to watch

7:40 a.m. - Meagan Winans of Richardson, Texas, Katie Li of Basking Ridge, New Jersey, and Sophie Zhang-Murphy of Saratoga, California.

  • Zhang-Murphy won her fourth AJGA title and second of the season last week at the UHY / The First Tee of Greater Baltimore Junior Championship. She also won the Under Armour® / Alison Lee Championship presented by Irvine Technology Corporation earlier this summer.
  • Li has placed in the top 10 of all four AJGA events she has played this year. She is looking for her first invitational win this week.
  • Winans won the 2020 Insperity Invitational / Patrick Reed AJGA Junior Championship in June.

7:50 a.m. - Taylor Kehoe of (Canada) Strathroy, Ontario, Catherine Park of Irvine, California, and Jasmine Koo of Cerritos, California.

  • Kehoe has won five AJGA tournaments including two this year at the AJGA Junior at Knollwood presented by Yoder Oil and Randy Wise Junior Open.
  • Park is a current Rolex Junior All-American with two AJGA wins.
  • Koo had her first AJGA win at the 2020 Callaway Golf Junior Championship and she has two additional top-5 finishes this season.

8:10 a.m. - Yunxuan (Michelle) Zhang of (China) Plano, Texas, Lynn Lim of Gallatin, Tennessee, and Megha Ganne of Holmdel, New Jersey.

  • All three juniors are in the top-15 Rolex AJGA Rankings: Zhang No. 7, Lim No. 10, Ganne No. 11.
  • Zhang and Ganne are current Rolex Junior All-Americans.
  • Zhang won the 2020 Under Armour® / Jordan Spieth Championship.
  • Lim has a verbal commitment to Vanderbilt University with one invitational win at the AJGA Junior All-Star Invitational at Reynolds Lake Oconee.

8:20 a.m. - Rose Zhang of Irvine, California, Bohyun Park of (South Korea) Farmers Branch, Texas, and Amanda Sambach of Davidson, North Carolina.

  • All three juniors are in the top-10 Rolex AJGA Rankings: Zhang No.1, Park No. 4, Samback No. 6.
  • All juniors have a verbal commitment: Zhang (Stanford University), Park (University of Texas at Austin), Sambach (University of Virginia).
  • Zhang is coming off of a win at the 2020 U.S. Women's Amateur.
  • Park has one win this season at the KJ Choi Foundation Texas Junior Championship presented by Mediheal.

10:30 a.m. - Lauryn Nguyen of Seattle, Washington, Hallie Kuhns of Austin, Texas, Lauren Clark of Orlando, Florida.

  • Nguyen and Clark are both coming off wins last week. Nguyen won the 2020 AJGA Junior at Pronghorn and Clark won the 2020 Greenwood Junior Championship.
  • Nguyen has verbally committed to Northwestern University and Clark has verbally committed to Louisiana State University
  • This is Kuhns' first appearance at the Rolex Girls Junior Championship. She has seven top-10 finishes in AJGA tournaments.

About the course
Dalhouise Golf Club is hosting the Rolex Girls Junior Championship for the second time; they first hosted in 2013. The course is a Gary Nicklaus design located in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Dalhouise Golf Club was rated by Golf Digest as the No. 1 course in Missouri for four consecutive years (2007-2010).
