Jackson Rivera of San Diego, takes the lead for the Boys Division after day one. The 2021 graduate finished the day at five-under-par 67. Rivera’s impressive round ended with birdies on four of his last five holes to put him on top.
There are four other juniors that round off the top five. Jackson Koivun of San Jose, California, Hogan Park of Walnut, California, Chanachon Chokprajakchat of Anaheim, California, and Johnny Walker of Chandler, Arizona, all finished round one in second after shooting 4-under-par 68.
Catherine Park of Irvine, California, Kendall Todd of Goodyear, Arizona, and Yurang Li of Fullerton, California, finished the day in first at 2-under-par 70. Park carded three birdies, Todd carded three birdies with one eagle, and Li carded four birdies to round off the day.
