Despite a weather delay halting her round early, Zhao would finish the second round with a score of 4-under-par 68. She will enter the Final Round with an eight stroke lead, five shots more than her advantage at the end of round one.
Angela Zhang of Bellevue, Washington, is Zhao's closest chaser at 4-under-par 140, coming off a 1-over-par 73 in round two. Rounding out the top three heading into the final round will be Lauren Kim of (Canada) Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, who finds herself at even-par 144.
Despite winds gusting up to 30 mph, Garrett Endicott of San Antonio, Texas, matched his first round score of 66 in round two. The 18-year-old carded six birdies on the day, including four on Palouse Ridge's front nine. Endicott's 36-hole total of 10-under-par 132 places him atop the Boys Division heading into the final round. Endicott currently sits at No. 76 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. The class of 2022 member has made a verbal commitment to attend Mississippi State University.
Max Herendeen of Bellevue, Washington, sits four shots back of the lead, in second place at 6-under-par 136. Herendeen made three birdies in round two to finish the day at 2-over-par 73. Joining the leader bunch are Akshay Anand of Redmond, Washington, and Ben Gregg of Dallas, Texas, each with a two day total of 4-under-par 138. Trip Sanfelippo of Wildwood, Missouri, completes the top five at 2-under-par 140.
