Lee, Pickrell each shoot tournament-record low rounds to take lead

Summer Lee of Plano, Texas, leads the Girls Division heading into the final round with a total score of 5-under-par 137. Her 7-under-par 64 second round broke the previous girls low round record by five strokes. Lee carded eight total birdies, five on the back nine.

In second place at 3-under-par 139 is Maye Huang of Katy, Texas. She is followed by Ryann Honea of San Angelo, Texas, at 2-under-par 140.

The Boys Division is led by Tomek Pickrell of Cypress, Texas, at 6-under-par 136. His second round score of 4-under-par 67 is also a tournament record for low round. Pickrell's five birdies included two straight on No. 17 and 18. Yet to win his first AJGA event, he has four previous top-10 finishes to his name.

One stroke behind Pickrell in second place is Treed Huang of Katy, Texas, at 5-under-par 137. In third place is Aiden Tiet of Garland, Texas, at 3-under-par 139. Byungho Lee of (South Korea) Plano, Texas, sits in fourth at 2-under-par 140. Rounding out the top five is Eduardo Derbez Torres of (Mexico) Monterrey, Mexico, at 1-under-par 141.
