Hartman leads Boys Division after 36 holes

Will Hartman of Marvin, North Carolina, leads the Boys Division by three strokes after shooting 5-under-par 137 in the first two rounds. Hartman, a 2025 graduate, started his day by shooting 3-under-par 68 in the first round. Hartman had four birdies in the round, including a long birdie putt on No. 18 to gain the lead. In the second round, Hartman shot 2-under-par 69 with seven birdies, including back-to-back birdies on Nos. 17 and 18 to end his day. Hartman is seeking his second victory of the 2021 season after winning the Harold Varner III Junior Foundation All-Star in June.

Dalton Burts of Peachtree Corners, Georgia, and Lawson Andress of Macon, Georgia, are tied for second in the Boys Division after shooting 2-under-140 after 36 holes today. Burns, a 2023 graduate, had 10 birdies on the day. Lawson, a 2025 graduate, also had 10 birdies in the first two rounds. Both players are seeking their first AJGA victory.

Jonathan Mikanda of Rome, Georgia, is in fourth after shooting 1-under-par 141 on the day. Mikanda, a 2024 graduate, had seven birdies in the first two rounds and eagled No. 6 in the first round. He is seeking his first AJGA victory.

Cayden Pope of Lexington, Kentucky; Max Jelinek of Boynton Beach, Florida; Jay Mendell of Lafayette, Louisiana, and William Webb of Raleigh, North Carolina, are T5 in the Boys Division at even-par 142.

With a score of 8-under-par 134, Kynadie Adams of Nashville, Tennessee, and Thienna Huynh of Lilburn, Georgia lead the AJGA Junior Classic presented by UHY after 36 holes.

Adams is currently ranked No. 40 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. This year, Adams has played in six AJGA tournaments and finished in the top-25 in all of them. Her most note-worthy finish was second place in the KJ Choi Foundation Texas Junior Championship presented by Mediheal. She had nine birdies and one eagle after the first two rounds.

Thienna Huynh is ranked No. 82 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and has won two previous AJGA events. Her most recent victory was the 2021 AJGA Junior at Carolina Trace. She had 10 birdies on the day.

Sara Im of Duluth, Georgia, is currently in solo third with a score of 6-under-par 136 after 36 holes. She had 12 birdies after the first two rounds.
