Avery leads Girls Division by Three Strokes

Andee Avery of Carlsbad, California, claimed the Girls Division lead at 1-over-par 73. The 2023 graduate had three birdies on the day including a closing one on the No. 18 par 4. This is Avery's first AJGA start, however she has had an impressive junior career thus far with the San Diego Junior Golf Association (seven top-5 finishes and one win).

Samantha Olson of Phoenix, Arizona, is solo second at 4-over-par 76. In solo third at 7-over-par 79 is Eden Lohrbach of Ames, Iowa. Both Olson and Lohrbach are 2024 graduates.

Maxwell Toja of Cedar Falls, Iowa, leads the Boys Division at even-par 71. Tjoa was the only boy to finish at par or better. His day included three birdies matched by three bogies. He leads by three strokes with 18 to play. Toja finished solo sixth at the 45th Iowa Boys Junior PGA Championship.

Ken Anderson of Windermere, Florida, Will Simpson of Peoria, Iowa, and Aiden Cudney of Appleton, Wisconsin, share second place at 3-over-par 74.

In a four-way tie for fifth sit Milwaukee native Owen Gardner, Owen Sawyer of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Brock Seiser of Waukee, Iowa, and Brady Baynes of Eden Prarie, Minnesota.
