Stephens finished T4 at the 2020 AJGA Junior at Kingwood and second at the 2020 AJGA Stan Utley and Mid-America Youth Golf Foundation Junior Championship. She is currently ranked No. 149 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings.
Kate Pickrell of Austin, Texas, dropped to second after shooting 1-under-par 71. Jiyu Han of Cedar Park, Texas, scored 2-under-par 70 and sits in third for the tournament.
Billy Abdow of Duluth, Georgia, and Thomas Curry of Texarkana, Arkansas, lead the Boys Division at 6-under-par 103. Due to weather, the Boys Division has only played 27 holes of golf through two rounds. Abdow finished T13 at the 2020 AJGA Junior All-Star at Quail Creek presented by City of Robinson, while Curry finished fifth at the Westrock Coffee Junior Championship earlier this year.
Carson Cooper of Spring, Texas, is holding onto third at 3-under-par 105 after carding 3-under-par 69 in the second round. Nathan Marion of San Antonio, and Braeden Hoyt of Houston, are T4 at 2-under-par 106.
