AJGA Thunderbird Junior All-Star Returns to Papago

Papago Golf Course plays host for the second year

The AJGA Thunderbird Junior All-Star will take place June 1-4 at the Papago Golf Course in Phoenix, Arizona. This is the second year of #JASThunderbird at this golf course. The 54-hole stroke play tournament will feature a 72-player field comprised of both boys and girls.

About the Field

  • Jeff Seong of Tacoma, Washington is the only college commit in the field (verbal commit to Stanford University)
  • 16 states represented
  • Four golfers from the class of 2027

Players to watch

Logan Kim of La Canada Flintridge, California (2024)
Kim finished within the top five in three of his six AJGA tournament appearances in 2020.

Alaythia Hinds of Rancho Murieta, California (2024)
A medalist in the 2020 Bob Estes Preview Junior, Hinds is making her first AJGA start of the summer. The freshman finished T5 in the 2020 Sean Foley Performance Junior All-Star at Timacuan Golf and Country Club.

Vilda Westh Blanc of (Sweden) Wartrace, Tennessee (2023)
Westh Blanc has had four top-ten finishes in Florida Junior Tour events in 2020 as well as one top-ten finish in an AJGA event. The AJGA Thunderbird Junior All-Star will be her first AJGA appearance of the summer 2021 season.

Nathan Miller of Dallas, Texas (2025)
Miller is also making his first summer appearance in an AJGA tournament. Since 2020, he has had five top-ten finishes in Northern Texas PGA events.
