Despite the wind on day two, Ryder Cowan of Edmond, Oklahoma, still finds himself in the lead in the Boys Division. A second round score of 2-over-par 73 for Cowan gives him a one stroke lead entering the final round at 1-over-par 143 for the tournament. An even-par 36 on his final nine holes steadied his round. Cowan is seeking a return to the AJGA winners circle.
Matthew Comegys of Van Alstyne, Texas, was tied for the low round of the day with an even-par 71 to be 2-over-par 144 for the tournament. Comegys is No. 30 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and is seeking his first career AJGA victory. Andrew Ramos of Blaine, Minnesota, William Mesa Falleur of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and Parker Sands of Edmond, Oklahoma, sit in third, fourth and fifth respectively at 4-over-par 146, 5-over-par 147 and 6-over-par 147 for the tournament.
In the Girls Division it is Katy, Texas, native Maelynn Kim sitting three strokes ahead of the rest of the pack at 3-over-par 145 for the tournament. Kim was tied for the lowest round of the day among all golfers with a 1-under-par 70. Starting on 10, birdies on both the par 3, No. 13 and par 3, No. 15 allowed her to start her day strong.
Last year's champion Symran Shah of Carrollton, Texas, and Ryann Honea of San Angelo, Texas, sit in a tie for second at 6-over-par 148.
