Inaugural Invitational set to take place at Champions Golf Club

This strong all boys field is ready to take on Cypress Creek

The inaugural Jack Burke Jr. Invitational will take place June 3-6 in Houston, Texas. The all-boys Invitational brings gentlemen from all over the world to compete at Champions Golf Club - Cypress Creek for a 54-hole, stroke-play tournament.

About the Field

  • 11 Rolex Junior All-Americans
  • 41 past AJGA Champions
  • 25 college commits (21 verbal, 4 National Letter of Intent)

About the Course

  • Designed by Ralph Plummer
  • Amateur golf and the members of Champions golf club were the focus when it came to the restoration efforts on the Cypress Creek course
  • With beautiful trees, wide fairways and enormous greens it is one of America's premier tournament sites

Since opening its courses in 1957, Champions has been proud to host many national events.

AJGA Champion Highlights
There are several notable AJGA champions in the field at the Jack Burke Jr. Invitational:

Thomas Morrison of Dallas, Texas (2023)
The 16 year-old out of George Washington University High School is coming into the event the top-ranked player in the field at No. 9 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. The verbal commit of the University of Texas at Austin has seven top-10 AJGA finishes in his career.
Bryan Lee of Fairfax, Virginia (2022)
At No. 19 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, Lee is looking for his second AJGA victory. His first one came in 2020 at the Justin Thomas Junior Championship. In addition to his lone win, the University of Virginia verbal commit has finished in the top-10 at three Invitationals in 2021.
Mason Synder of Las Vegas, Nevada (2023)
Enters the week at No. 31 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. The 16 year-old has had a very successful 2021 winning back-to-back events in June 2021 at the AJGA Lake Las Vegas Junior and AJGA Tucson Junior presented by Hilgers Orthodontics.
