FAYETTEVILLE, AR - The KPMG Stacy Lewis Junior All-Star Invitational is the only AJGA stroke play event to feature mixed pairings with boys and girls playing together in each group. An equal number of boys and girls annually compete in this event with the pairings consisting of twosomes that have one girl and one boy. A boys versus girls team champion is crowned in addition to stroke play champions – the top four boys and four girls scores are combined to determine a Boys Division or Girls Division team victory each year. To date, the series is tied 3-3 and the Girls Division has captured the title three years in a row (2018, 2019, 2020).

Lucy Yuan of (Canada) San Diego, California, holds the first-round lead at the KPMG Stacy Lewis Junior All-Star Invitational. The three-time AJGA champion opened the tournament with a 3-under-par 69 at The Blessings Golf Club.

Yuan opened her round strong with three birdies through her first five holes. After bogeying holes No. 6 and 7, Yuan quickly responded with a birdie on No. 8. After making the turn at 2-under-par 34, the 2024 graduate went 1-under-par 35 with consecutive birdies on No. 15 and 16. She leads the KPMG Stacy Lewis Junior All-Star Invitational by three strokes.

The fourteen year-old earned her first AJGA victory of 2021 at the Lanto Junior Championship. Her 2020 season was highlighted by a victory at the AJGA Stan Utley and Mid-America Youth Golf Foundation Junior All-Star.

Ryleigh Knaub of Winter Springs, Florida, Olivia Duan of Cupertino, California, and Sophie Stevens of Highland, Michigan, are T2 at even-par 72.
