Elina Kuang of Murrieta, California, earned Qualifier medalist honors at 2-under-par 70 during the Fox Sports Junior at Mission Viejo. Kuang was the lone player in Girls Division to card an under-par round and recorded six total birdies. The 14-year-old has three career top-10 finishes in AJGA events.

Californians Kyle Kolodziej of Placentia, California, and Jack Yurosek of Coto de Caza, California, shared medalist honors in the Boys Division with matching scores of 2-under-par 70. By qualifying into this week's tournament, both players will play in their first AJGA tournament of the calendar year. During the Qualifier, the two players posted identical nine hole scores of 2-under-par 34 on the front nine and even par 36 on the back nine. Yurosek carded five birdies and Kolodziej made four birdies to just two bogies.
Californians Aaron Huang of Rancho Santa Fe, California, and Jaden Hunter of (Canada) Coto de Caza, California, each earned their spots in the tournament via a playoff for the final two spots. Hunter chipped in for birdie from behind the green on No. 3.
