Eston Duff of Pflugerville, Texas, leads the Boys Division at the St. Francisville Area Foundation Junior at The Bluffs at 5-under-par 66. Duff carded six birdies in his first round. The rising junior finished T11 last week at the AJGA Shreveport Junior.
Sitting in solo second is Brooks Simmons of Dallas, Texas. The Texan is three shots back of Duff at 2-under-par 69.
Holding onto solo third is Colton Swartz of Fleming Island, Florida, at 1-under-par 70. Followed by CJ Larkin of Houston, Texas, and Brecken Franklin of Montgomery, Texas, in T4 at even-par 71.
Grace Jin of San Antonio, Texas, leads the Girls Division at 4-under-par 67. Jin was co-medalist at the qualifier on Sunday. She improved six strokes on her score with fiive birdies in her first round of the tournament.
Holding onto second is XiMiao Zhai of (China) Orlando, Florida. Zhai carded five birdies on the day.
Tied for third at 2-under-par 69 is Mackenzie Lee of North Little Rock, Arkansas, and Sabree Lefebvre of Riverview, Florida. Lee entered the field this week as the top ranked girl at No. 13 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. Lee is set to attend Southern Methodist University in 2022. Lefebvre best AJGA finish came in 2020 at the Greenwood Junior Championship, T8.
