Sky Sudberry of The Woodlands, Texas, and Sydney Givens of Austin, Texas, finish tied for the lead at even-par 71. Sudberry was able to capture the lead after a birdie on 17, however, Givens ended her day with two birdies on the last six holes to tie Sudberry for the lead.
Right behind Sudberry and Givens is Sabree Lefebvre of Riverview, Florida. Lefebvre is one-over-par 72 going into the second round of play.
Rob Ferris of Roswell, Georgia, Kale Fontenot of Lafayette, Louisiana, and Luke Koenig of Statham, Georgia, are all tied for the lead shooting five-under-par 66 in round one. Ferris and Fontenot both had seven birdies on the day. Koenig finished the day with six birdies and an eagle No. 2.
Chase Kyes of Birmingham, Alabama, and Jackson Bode of Pinehurst, North Carolina are tied for fourth shooting four-under-par 67. Kyes finished the round with seven birdies, while Bode ended with six birdies.
