Julia Misemer of Overland Park, Kansas, played her way into the Girls Division lead with an even-par 72 round. At 1-over-par 145 after two rounds, she is just 18 holes from her first AJGA win. Her best finish to date was runner-up at 2020 Coca-Cola Junior Championship at Sugarloaf presented by Junior Golf Hub.
Anna Heck of Memphis, Tennessee, is in second place at 3-over-par 147. In a two-way tie for third at 5-over-par 149 are Emree Cameron of Nevada, Missouri, and McKenzie Mages of Marietta, Georgia.
The boys leader heading into the final round is David Martinez of Houston, Texas, at 6-under-par 138. He birdied four holes in the second round to jump into top spot. Martinez recently finished T4 at the 2021 Coca-Cola Junior Championship at Boyne Highlands.
Stephen Liu of (New Zealand) Auckland, New Zealand, is just one shot behind Martinez at 5-under-par 139. In third place at 4-under-par 140 is Aksel Moe of Sarasota, Florida. Bryant Polhill of Edmond, Oklahoma, is in fourth at 3-under-par 141. In fifth place, at 2-under-par 142, is Grant Doggett of Beach City, Texas.
