Villarama leads Boys Division heading into the second round

Ryan Luis Villarama of Glendale, California, leads the Boys Division by two strokes after shooting 5-under-par 66 in the first round. Villarama had five birdies in the round, including back to back birdies on No. 17 and No. 18 to give him the two stroke lead. The 2024 graduate also started his day with an eagle on No. 1. Villarama will be seeking his first career AJGA victory this week.

Drew Miller of East Lansing, Michigan, is in sole second place after shooting 3-under-par 68. The 2024 graduate had two birdies on the day and an eagle on No. 9. He will be seeking his first career AJGA victory.

Isaac Ahn of Rochester, Minnesota, is in third place after shooting 2-under-par 69. Ahn ended his day with five birdies. The 2025 graduate is also on the hunt for his first career AJGA victory.

Benjamin Baker of Broadlands, Virginia, and Vibhav Alokam of Ypsilanti, Michigan, are tied for fourth place after shooting 1-under-par 70. Both players ended their round with three birdies.

Sophia Li of New York, New York, leads the Girls Division by one stroke after shooting even-par 71 in the first round. Li had three birdies in the round, including a birdie on No. 18 to take the lead. The 2025 graduate is seeking her first career AJGA victory this week at the #JASWindham.

Vanessa Borovilos of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and Irene Kim of Woodstock, Maryland, are tied for second place after shooting 1-over-par 72 in the first round. Borovilos had three birdies in the round and Kim ended her round with five birdies total. Both players will be seeking their second career AJGA victory.
