About our sponsors
PING, a golf club manufacturer with the goal to help golfers play their best, has been an AJGA supporter since 1990 and began supporting the PING Phoenix Junior in 1991. The PING Invitational, one of the AJGA's top Invitationals held over Columbus Day weekend, began in 2006 at Karsten Creek. The PING Junior Solheim Cup, the all-girls match play biennial event, has received worldwide recognition and many participants are able to say they played for their country as a junior and professional.

PING expanded support to become an AJGA Official Partner in 2002, sponsoring PING College Golf Signing Day  and in 2009, became "The Official Bag of the AJGA." In 2010, PING debuted golf bags for all AJGA champions. In 2021, PING became the first AJGA Legacy Partner, honoring more than 30 years of support for the AJGA and junior golf.

Heather Farr, a native of Phoenix, Arizona, played collegiate golf locally at Arizona State University. Farr won the 1982 U.S. Girls Junior, the 1984 U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links and was a member of the 1984 Curtis Cup. Farr turned professional in 1985 and played in numerous LPGA events until her Breast Cancer diagnosis in 1989. Farr passed away in 1993 after a four year battle with cancer. Farr is remembered through the work of her foundation, as the ambassador for Grayhawk Golf Club and each year at the PING Heather Farr Classic.
