Players to watch at the Rolex Girls Junior Championship

JUPITER, Fla. – For the 31st year of the Rolex Girls Junior Championship, the top-ranked junior golfers in the world are brought together to compete over 72 holes in this quintessential Invitational.

The 2022 field for this all-girls event is full of well-accomplished and title-holding junior golfers. There are 21 Rolex Junior All-Americans in the field and seven juniors with more than three AJGA victories. There are 20 players who competed in the 2021 Rolex Girls Junior Championship and 11 from the 2020 edition - some of which are Brooke Rivers of Brampton, Ontario, Ally Black of Austin, Texas, Avery Zweig of McKinney, Texas, Sara Im of Duluth, Georgia, and Katie Li of Basking Ridge, New Jersey.

As of June 20, there are 10 of the top 20 players in the Rolex AJGA Rankings in the field. The top five are as follows: No. 1 Yana Wilson, No. 3 Bailey Shoemaker, No. 4 Gianna Clemente, No. 8 Jaclyn LaHa, and No. 10 Katie Li.

Field Summary:
Yana Wilson of Henderson, Nevada (2024)
Wilson has held the top spot in the Rolex AJGA Rankings for 21-straight weeks. She became a First Team Rolex Junior All-American in 2021. Two years ago she earned the title as the youngest ever to win the Joanne Winter Arizona Silver Belle Tournament at the age of 14. This is her second year participating in the Rolex Girls Junior Championship where she finished T6 in 2021. She won the Hilton Grand Vacations ANNIKA Invitational presented by Rolex earlier this year after defeating Anna Davis in a playoff.

Bailey Shoemaker of Dade City, Florida (2023)
At No. 3 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, she is verbally committed to University of Southern California. Shoemaker is a two-time Rolex Junior All-American. At her most recent AJGA event, she finished T2 at the Sung Hyun Park Junior Championship. Shoemaker has one AJGA career win and seven AJGA top-five finishes. She recently won the Florida Women's Amateur Championship over the weekend.

Gianna Clemente of Warren, Ohio (2026)
Clemente is No. 4 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and also a two-time Rolex Junior All-American. She holds three AJGA titles over the course of four years. She became the youngest champion of the PING Invitational with her win in 2021 at the age of 13. Clemente competed last year in the Rolex Girls Junior Championship at the age of 12 and finished T17.

Jaclyn LaHa of Pleasanton, California (2023)
LaHa is No. 8 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and is verbally committed to the University of Virginia. Like her fellow competitors, she is a two-time Rolex Junior All-American. At her last event, LaHa won the 2022 Under Armour® / Albane Valenzuela Girls Invitational in May. She has one other AJGA win and 11 top-five finishes under her belt.

Katie Li of Basking Ridge, New Jersey (2023)
Li holds the No. 10 spot in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and is a Duke University verbal commit. She is a two-time Rolex Junior All-American. Li has two AJGA career wins and and eight top-five finishes. Last year, she competed in the Rolex Girls Junior Championship and finished T22.
