An AJGA alum's message to all junior golfers

Since his first AJGA tournament in 2016, Maxwell Moldovan has been a force to be reckoned with.

That tournament was the Mill Creek Foundation Junior All-Star, which he won by six shots. Moldovan proceeded to win that tournament again in 2017. From there, Moldovan competed in 11 AJGA tournaments before getting his next big win at the 2019 Polo Golf Junior Classic at Liberty National. Of those 11 tournaments before his first Invitational victory, Moldovan earned seven top-10 finishes. That stretch included a second-place finish at the 2019 Memorial Junior, played at his future home course of Ohio State.

Moldovan's steady performance in 2019 would result in him being selected as a First Team Rolex Junior All-American and the Rolex Junior Player of the Year.

Since his time with the AJGA, Moldovan has gone on to play collegiate golf at The Ohio State University. In 2021 alone, he received All-Big Ten Second Team honors, PING All-Midwest Region Team honors and was one of Ohio State's Scholar Athletes. The AJGA alum most recently qualified for the 122nd United States Open that will be played in Brookline, Massachusetts.

As one of the most dominant junior golfers in recent history, Moldovan has successfully made the jump into college golf. With this week's Memorial Junior returning to the Scarlet Course, if felt fitting to ask for his 10 best pieces of advice for current junior golfers:

No. 1 Play a lot of tournaments - It's always good to give college coaches lots of opportunities to see your name.
