Two-time Westrock Coffee Junior Championship winner, Mackenzie Lee of North Little Rock, Arkansas, looks to defend her title again this week. This is the third year that Westrock is hosting this event, making Lee the sole girls champion in tournament history.

Currently at No.19 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, the Arkansas native holds multiple tournament records for the Girls Division:

  • Low round at 6-under-par 66
  • Low 36-hole total at 1-under-par 143
  • Low 54-hole total at 7-under-par 209.

All three achievements occurred at the 2021 event. Her 6-under-par 66 round marks her best AJGA performance to date.

Lee is keeping a level head coming into the 2022 tournament, despite knowing the feat she could accomplish.

"I'm just trying to play my best and see what I've improved on in the past two years. I saw an improvement last year which was great news for me, and I just want to do that again this year."

Since her victory at Hot Springs Country Club in 2021, Lee has been invited to the PING Invitational and the Rolex Tournament of Champions where she finished T16.

Following the completion of her AJGA career this summer, Lee will be attending Southern Methodist University to play on their women's golf team. She commented on how the AJGA prepared her for the future and the things she will miss most.

"I believe the AJGA prepares us for a lot of further competition and higher levels of competition," said Lee. "I was able to develop better skills and better problem solving throughout the course. I also grew mentally."
