Rina Kawasaki of (Japan) Rancho Palos Verdes, California, leads the 1st Club for Kids Foundation Junior All-Star Invitational after carding a 5-under-par 67 in the first round.
Kawasaki fired off 5 birdies and an eagle en route to the lead spot. She started the day off the back nine where she found her first birdie on the par-3 No.11. The 2028 grad followed up with an eagle on the par-5 No. 12. Kawasaki carded two additional birdies on the back nine on Nos. 14 and 17. On the front nine, she made her final two birdies of the day on Nos. 5 and 8.
Four girls are tied for second, one stroke back of Kawasaki at 3-under-par 69.

Ava Zhang carded six birdies on Nos. 2, 5 12, 14, 16 and 18. Angela Zhang went birdie, eagle, birdie to start her front nine with an additional bridie on par-5 No.14. Little carded back-to-back birdies on Nos. 14 and 15 and three more birdies on Nos. 2, 5 and 7. Coffield found four birdies throughout her round on Nos. 1, 8, 12 and 14.
Three boys share the lead spot after round one. Connor Herrera of San Diego, California, John Markow of Ridgeland, Mississippi and Brady Rapp of Leawood, Kansas each carded a 4-under-par 68.
Tied for fourth, Ryan Lee of Plano, Texas and Lucas Gimenez of Jacksonville, Florida both sit one-stroke back of the lead at 3-under-par 69. Lee's round was highlighted by his eagle on the first hole of the day, the par-5 No. 1. Gimenez carded five birdies throughout the round on Nos. 2, 5, 8, 10 and 12.
The second round tees off at Le Triomphe Golf & Country Club, Saturday, October 7, at 8:00 a.m. off No. 1 and No. 10 tees.
