Girls Division Champion: Yaxuan (Apple) Zheng of (China) Windermere, Florida (even-par-216)

  • Won her first career AJGA tournament after defeating Jessica Jang in a playoff.
  • Held the lead after every round for a wire-to-wire victory.
  • Recorded five birdies and knocked in an eagle on the 18th hole during round one.
  • Finished T8 at the 2023 Huntsville.org Junior Championship at the end of May.
I am super happy to be here at Parris Island and to win my first AJGA event here is super cool. I am very thankful to the Commanding General for hosting this tournament and giving us the opportunity to play.

  • Recorded her second-best AJGA career finish.

  • Defeated Hudson Lawson in a playoff to claim his first career AJGA victory.
  • Recorded 14 birdies during the tournament, including an eagle on No. 13 during the final round.
  • Had three top-10 finishes at AJGA events in 2022.
  • Named to the Midlands All-Area Golf Team in 2023.
It's relieving to win this event. I feel like I played good and made some solid putts. I made an eagle on 13 today and just hit it good all week. I had a lot of fun this week and it was great to get the win.
