JERSEY CITY, NJ - Jasmine Koo of Cerritos, California, moved from second place to first after the second round of the Mizuho Americas Open. Koo finished with a second day total of 37 points, and a tournament stableford score of 74. Scoring for stableford is as follows:

Ranked at No. 2 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, Koo made a bogey on her first hole of the day, the par-5 No. 10. She made five straight pars before making a birdie on the par-4 No. 16. Koo finished her first nine with an even-par 36.

The University of Southern California commit fired back-to-back birdies on the par-3 No. 4 and the par- 4 No. 5. She finished the rest of her round with three pars and one bogey to lead the stableford event by one point.

This year I definitely think my game is stronger than last year. I'm smarter out there. And also I feel like I racked up experience coming into this event. I played in the ANWA (Augusta National Women's Amateur) with a bunch of patrons and the Chevron, which was my first LPGA event. This is not a site I'm unfamiliar with.
