JERSEY CITY, NJ - Yana Wilson of Henderson, Nevada, holds on to the lead of the Mizuho Americas Open after the second round with a stableford score of 79. Scoring for stableford is as follows:

1 point: Bogey
0 points: Double bogey
No. 5 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, Wilson started the second round off strong with back-to-back birdies on Nos. 10 and 11. After carding a bogey on No. 12, Wilson found rhythm again and carded four pars and two birdies.
After making the turn to her back nine, the University of Oregon commit carded three consecutive pars, followed by a birdie on No. 4 before play was suspended due to weather. Play would resume an hour later causing trouble for the Nevada native as she would go on to double No. 5. Wilson carded three more pars before play was suspended due to daylight.
The next morning, Wilson pared her last hole to finish the second round with 79 points.
"I just wanted to keep steady and keep making pars because in stableford pars and birdies are good. I just wanted to keep that steady game going."
Third round tee times will begin at 10:17 a.m. EDT off of No.1.
