Mission Viejo, CA – The American Junior Golf Association is excited to announce Beau Hossler as the newest tournament host on the 2023 schedule. The Natural Delights Junior Open hosted by Beau Hossler will take place at Mission Viejo Country Club this year, August 6-9.
Beau Hossler is an AJGA alumni who currently plays on the PGA TOUR. During his AJGA career he recorded four wins and was named a Rolex Junior All-American three-times. He attended the University of Texas at Austin where in 2016 he was named the Big 12 Player of the Year and Fred Haskins Award Winner. Hossler made his professional debut on the PGA TOUR in 2018.
It’s a full circle moment [hosting an AJGA] for me because growing up I admired players whose names were on the tournaments that I competed in. In a way it makes me feel old, and in another way, it makes me feel accomplished. It’s an honor to be associated with an organization that provided a platform for me to grow into the golfer that I am today, and certainly paved the way for me to be recruited to play college golf.
Hossler grew up near Mission Viejo and looks forward to help host a top-tier junior event to his hometown. Mission Viejo welcomes the AJGA back for the fourth time in 2023. The private club, located an hour south of Los Angeles, was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and opened in 1967.
Registration for the tournament will be held onsite at the Urban Golf Performance’s facility nearby in Orange County, where Beau Hossler started his UGP journey in late 2021 and now serves as his home facility. UGP is an all-in-one facility for golfers to enhance and grow their love for the game. The facility includes hitting bays, putting studios, recovery areas, fitness training, club building, mental coaching, club fittings and more. UGP has four locations across southern California and is a tournament partner for the event.
Natural Delights, the title sponsor of the event, provides on course nutrition across the AJGA’s 120 plus event schedule in the form of dates. This is the first event Natural Delights is title sponsoring on the AJGA schedule.
The Natural Delights Junior hosted by Beau Hossler runs August 6th through 9th at Mission Viejo Country Club in Mission Viejo, California. The official practice round will be held August 6th with the competitive tournament rounds following on the 7th through 9th.
