BRASELTON, Ga.- The American Junior Golf Association is excited to announce a two-year sponsorship with Explore Victoria Texas. Explore Victoria Texas will serve as the title sponsor of the Victoria Texas Preview. The 54-hole tournament will be held from April 13 to April 16, 2023, at Riverside Golf Course.
“The City of Victoria and Riverside Golf Course look forward to hosting the players and their families not only for golf, but the enjoyment of our community. We are excited to be a part of the AJGA network and to provide the competing junior golfers a new opportunity to showcase their talents,” said Rolando Hernandez, PGA Head Golf Professional at Riverside Golf Course.
The event will feature a maximum of 96 male and female junior golfers (ages 12-19). The qualifier on April 13, 2023, will offer 78-players a chance to earn a spot into the highly coveted event. The practice round qualifier event falls on April 13, 2023. The first round will begin on April 14. An awards ceremony will occur immediately after the conclusion of tournament play on April 16, 2023.
The event will also feature a Qualifier Tournament. The AJGA Qualifier Series is one of the main ways players get their start with the AJGA. This one day 18-hole tournament, held before the start of Neuropeak ProTM Preview Series event, give players an opportunity to "play their way in" to each coinciding tournament and earn PBE status for a future event. Typically, 10% of boys in an AJGA Qualifier and 10% of girls in an AJGA Qualifier will move on to play in the corresponding tournament. The exact number of spots will be posted at AJGA Qualifier registration.

Riverside Golf Course is located at 302 McCright Dr., Victoria, Texas, 77901. Guests are welcome to attend the Victoria Texas Preview. Admission to the AJGA tournament is free.
The Neuropeak ProTM Preview Series is designed specifically for AJGA members who have not yet played/been accepted to an AJGA tournament. This series, conducted primarily during the spring, offers these new and returning members the opportunity to start building Performance Based Entry status before application deadlines arrive for summer’s Open and Ninja Junior All-Star Series events.
