Stanford, CA - The Fortinet Girls Invitational at Stanford is slated to welcome a 72-player field of the top girls in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. This 54-hole tournament at Stanford Golf Course begins with an official Practice Round on Friday, February 16, followed by tournament rounds February 17-19.

About the Course
The Fortinet Girls Invitational at Stanford will mark the ninth AJGA event at Stanford Golf Course. Designed by George C. Thomas and Billy Bell Jr., the Stanford Golf Course opened in 1930 and is owned and operated by Stanford University. In 2023, Golfweek rated Stanford the No. 7 college course in the country. Previous AJGA events include the 1993 Canon Cup (now known as the Wyndham Cup), the 2019 Swinging Skirts AJGA Invitational, the 2020 AJGA Girls Invitational at Stanford, the 2021 and 2022 AJGA Junior All-Star at Stanford and the 2021 and 2022 Mariah Stackhouse Girls Invitational.

AJGA Champion Highlights
Of the 58 players who’ve won an AJGA event, a few highlights:

  • Anna Song of Los Angeles, California, is set to defend her 2023 Fortinet Girls Invitational at Stanford title this week. The Stanford University verbal commit claimed her first career AJGA victory at the 2023 Fortinet Girls Invitational at Stanford and became the youngest champion in tournament history at 15 years old. In 2023, she was honored as a second-team Rolex Junior All-American and a player on the PING Junior Solheim Cup USA Team.
  • Leigh Chien of Irvine, California, is currently No. 5 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and has signed a letter of intent with Stanford University. In 2023, she was honored as a first-team Rolex Junior All-American, a player on the West Team for Wyndham Cup and a player on Team USA for PING Junior Solheim Cup. She has four AJGA victories, one of which was a victory at this event in 2022, formerly named the Mariah Stackhouse Girls Invitational.
  • Michelle Liu of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, earned honorable mention and scholastic Rolex Junior All-American honors in 2023. The Harvard University verbal commit has four AJGA victories, one of which was a victory at this event in 2021, formerly named the Mariah Stackhouse Girls Invitational.
  • Gianna Clemente of Estero, Florida, is looking for her third career AJGA Invitational victory. Currently sitting at No. 3 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, Clemente is making her first career start at this prestigious West Coast event. Last season, the 15-year-old was a member on the 2023 Wyndham Cup East Team, the PING Junior Solheim Cup USA Team and she was named a First Team Rolex Junior All-American.
  • Nikki Oh of Torrance, California, is making her second career start at the Fortinet Girls Invitational at Stanford after finishing T-10 back in 2023. Sitting at No. 4 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, Oh is coming off a successful 2023 season where she claimed a win at the Ping An Bank Junior Open and earned second-team Rolex Junior All-American honors.

Tournament History
Formally the AJGA Girls Championship at The Furman Golf Club (2009-2020). In 2021, the tournament was changed to the Mariah Stackhouse Girls Invitational. This will be the second year with Fortinet as the title sponsor of the event.
